Soilder Bronze With Rifle

exquisite bronze dating from 1908 and signed by the artist.  It is a soldier lying in a firing position – the detail is quite spectacular and the facial features are very well detailed as is the rest of the sculpture.  Signed and dated on the front right and on the front left is the information about foundry and it reads as follows – Fonderie Natle Des Bronzes Anc ne Firme J. Petermann Sicilles – Bruxelles.  The sculpture has a wonderfully rich surface patina and in perfect condition.  It measures 23” long x 6”w x 8 5/8”h.
