This antique bi-colored chatelaine is crafted of sterling silver with applied red gold. The top portion of the chatelaine features an open design with flowing floral patterns and measures 4” in height and 1 1/2" in width. Attach to the main piece is a mechanical pencil, a wax seal with blood stone, a mesh coin purse with a pierced openwork mount and a scent bottle. The mechanical pencil is bi-colored as well with a floral pattern covering the majority of its surface. The pencil measures 1 3/4" by 1/4". The wax seal continues the sterling and red gold motif with a red gold repousse design. The seal measures 1” by 1/2" by 3/8”. The fine mesh coin purse is crafted exclusively of sterling silver. The purse measures 1 7/8” width, 2 1/2” high and 5” high when the chain is included. The two-tone scent bottle with the bi-color chain measures 1 3/4" in height and 5/8” in width. Circa: 1900.
