This is a tall order for delicate clothing that is over 100 years old. We, however find it possible and want you to buy with confidence knowing that these standards will be upheld. **About this gown or dress: Late 19th C. High Neck, "Wasp" style bodice (or so called "S" curve) and very full Princess style skirt. It is made with a fine cotton Batiste that is a soft off white with the faintest hint of a blush tone. We show this in the photo next to the white paper. **The high lace neck is boned. The long sleeves are fitted as they reach the wrist. Dainty buttons for closure. The shoulders are softly gathered. There are tiny pin tucks that sweep around the armhole and down the sleeves. Also, rows of delicate lace, and larger lace medallions set in the front. **The waist area is fitted above and below the waistline. This is created with tiny knife pleats. This is very flattering to the female form. The dress buttons up the back with dainty covered buttons. The skirt is quite full and is the Princess style with its fitted top and very full hem. The skirt is given interest and beauty with rows of knife pleating and lace. C O N D I T I O N: Excellent condition. Freshly laundered. There might be a few very small holidays on the lace. In most cases, we gently soak our "whites". Many were ivory, or a off white with a hint of blush. If they are exposed to any stronger cleaning agents they become "White". There is nothing wrong with this if you chose to make this gown white. We like to leave it in its antique color, so the choice is yours. S I Z E: XSmall to Small. Length: 57" (our model is 5'3").
