	American Period furniture ,Chippendale Swing Leg Drop Leaf Table Circa 1770’s.This is a serious country Chippendale table , made of Cherry Wood ,with Marlboro legs. The surface patina is so rich & lusterous.There are a few surface patches that you can see in the photos. The amazing & awesome nautical Star inlay in the center of the table is set in with a brass wire inlay. I highly suspect that this inlay was added sometime in the 19th century -perhaps to cover up a burn mark ,whatever the reason the idea was ingenious This table was most likely made the Rhode Island area in the 1770’s.The table is very sound structurally ,other than the inlay this table is completely original & in great condition all things considered .Measuring27 5/8” high to table top ,The center leaf measures 17” wide & overall fully opened the top measures 47” x 48 ¼”.Can seat six people comfortably.
