DESIGNER BRAND: Tiffany & Co. Made in Italy (interior gold tone plate; an insignia stamped clasp)

TYPE: Convertible clutch with an adjustable shoulder strap that can be also used as a shoulder bag or a cross-body (a front flap with a turn-clasp stamped with the Tiffany & Co. insignia; an exterior pocket; a semi-soft body construction; the front flap is accented with a perforated leather accent; welted and stitched seams).

METAL: Polished 24K gold plated accents (a clasp stamped with the Tiffany & Co. insignia; a shoulder strap buckle).

INTERIOR:  Genuine leather (a zippered pocket).

CONDITION: Vintage mint to near mint condition. Intact in and out. Beautiful, practical and smart.

HISTORY: Tiffany & Co. was established in 1830 in New York by the 25-yr-old Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young, who opened a "stationery and fancy goods" store on borrowed money. That was the time when a new American style emerged to capitalize on the newly formed extravagant tastes and golden opportunities. They were translated by the Tiffany founders into their exquisite patterns of harmony and simplicity, which became the trademark of the brand. Their specialties included various luxury items created in their studios: gold and silver jewelry with diamonds, pearls, and other precious and semi-precious gems; flatware; timepieces; leaded glass; jewels; Congressional Medals of Honor; various gifts and brand merchandise; as well as a variety of fabric, leather and exotic skin accessories and handbags.
