Tobacco Snuff Box Dated 1763

A super great early tobacco box. This box is made of early steel & is engraved on the front in very fancy script" John Stretch Taylor Coventry 1763"with all over early classical floral chasing .This box has a end button early latch mechanism in working order. The box measures 3 7/8" long x 2 3/8" wide x 7/8" high. The condition is very good with the as found tarnish. I have had experience with polished steel fireplace fenders, & when they are buffed they look like pure silver
