	An African Male Sculpture. This is a wonderful folk sculpture. I bought this probably twenty-five to thirty years ago, in a huge collection of Asian and African art. I actual never wanted to sell it because I just fell in love with him. He is in a great folk stance, playing a tribal drum. The carving is nice and mellow, the surface patina is rich. His face definition is excellent; he has nice eyes, a well defined nose and mouth with curly curly hair. This is an elegant statue. I suspect it dates from the early 1900’s. It is in excellent condition.
