Unusually Carved Three Quarter Oak Armoire/Cabinet

Northern France – Very good condition – Late 1800’s

This versatile piece, found in the North of France, was once used for storage of clothing or linens. Today, it could be used for a big screen TV, with storage for the accessories in the 2 drawers beneath the main cabinet. It has ornamentation of fluted pilasters, capitals, lion faces, foliage, garlands of flowers, cartouches and vases. On each door frontage, is a hand carved scene of women in a garden setting.
