The plate is a masterpiece of artistry with hand painted details in the rare pigments of the period. The subject, lovers in the subtle manner of period Louis XVI, in vermillion,cobalt vert, and carmine. Plate two, a marinescape is shown also. Signed in cobalt "VP" underglaze.
