The back stamp used on the bottom of this silver plate Victorian Celery Holder is marked WM Rogers Mfg. Co. This company used this particular mark from 1872 to 1881 when it became a part of International Silver Co. and the mark was no longer used. The glass container is etched by hand with a beautiful fern motif. During the Victorian era, the most opulent table settings were used especially by the elite and wealthy. Celery was a newcomer to the table and celebrated with a new container. This Celery Holder is just fabulous, measuring 6.5" x 5.5" x 8". Today collectors use these beautiful serving pieces to serve breadsticks, biscotti or pastry sticks.
Measurements: 6.5 x 5.5 x 8
