This Victorian, Enamel, Emerald and Ruby Pendant-Brooch is Wonderful It is from the mid 1800's. It is European, either French or Austrian. It is a Baroque" design. There are 6 differant colors of Enamel, Gold, Cream, Rust, Green, Black, and lite blue. It is 19 Kt. Gold. It isn't marked, but tested 19 Kt.. It is in very good Antique condition. The center stone is a Wonderful .50 pt., { 1/2 caret } natural, Emerald cut, Emerald. The other 3 stones are Rubies, Oval cut, .20 pts. each, Making total caret weight of Precious stones: 1.10 pts.{ 10 points over one caret }. The Enamel is in good condition, but there's a small amount of crazing , that is so small, you need a loop to see it. The Brooch-Pendant, is 50 mm. in Dia. { or 2 inches}, and can be worn as a Pendant, a Brooch, and on a ribbon, around your neck, in your hair, or at the waist, or as a Sash piece. This is and was a rare and expensive piece of jewelry, when it was made. It is a one of a kind, special order, made by a Master Goldsmith, for a very wealthy woman. Only a few people in the world, could have afforded a piece of jewelry like this and only a handful of Goldsmiths, knew how to do this very eleborate Enamel work.
