Victorian Hardstone Cameo Pendant , C 1860 Castellani Style Gold

Luminous, intricately detailed 18K Gold framed Victorian Cameo....very much in the manner of Castellani.  This gorgeous gold frame surrounds an equally beautiful... hand carved Carnelian Cameo.  Everything about this pendant is luxury and elegance.  

**The corded wire Archaeological revival style frame is accented with beading and roping.  This frame has a high carat, bloomed gold surface.  It still has its original hair safe in the back, with the original lining.

**There is a gorgeous soft opalescent quality to the background of the carnelian.  It contrasts in a subtle but effective way with the carved bust.  The Cameo features a Classical female...I am not sure which character she is...if any.  She is quite grand with her pearls, elegant hair, dress and headdress.

**We show the pendant with an Antique 14K gold chain.  This is available for an additional $380.

S I Z E:  Cameo 1-3/4" x 1-1/2" with a 5/8" bail.  Chain (sold separately) measures 17 1/2"
