Victorian Over-mantel Mirror

Antiques: Mirrors, Hallstands: 19th Century American Renaissance R

Circa 1875.  An extremely large and impressive 19th Century American Renaissance Revival over mantel mirror in American black walnut and burl.  All the usual incising and gilding, columns and carving and a large, projecting, carved "tiger's head" medallion.  Original flat plate glass mirror and back.  Fine original condition with only minor imperfections commensurate with age.   It measures 77" tall x 62 1/2" wide.  Price $5900.
