Unusual Art Deco Lace 1920's Flapper Dress. Classic 1920's style. Drop waist, loose cut, slight gathers at drop waist. It does not really have a front or a back. Dresses from the 1920's always hang so wonderfully. It was a very creative period in fashion. **The lace is exquisite. It has a definite modern or more Art Deco look to it. It is a combination of a Chantilly style lace and then a much bolder modernistic lace. Even though the lace features a floral motif, the overall pattern is more modern. We show the dress with a white slip under it (this is a studio prop, and not part of the sale). Any color, or black would look great. That is the beauty of this dress. **We have taken the liberty to also show you some of the accessories with this dress...that we will be offering later this week. The lace Chantilly Lace shawl is from the 1860's, the gold lame and set rhinestone choker is a superb 1920's piece, as is the Jet Beaded Flapper necklace. C O N D I T I O N: Excellent. It is a bit fragile...we had no problems with it for photos, but I do not believe this to be a good dress for dancing or a more active evening. It is better for a less active event (dinner party, concert, theatre, cocktail party etc) S I Z E: Small. Fits our 35 x 25 x 35" Length: 48" Bust: 35" Hip area: 42" |
