GORGEOUS COLORS are used to create this lavish hand made c1900 Kashmir Textile. The design is the classic Tree of Life with Birds of Paradise. It is done on a khaki or tan soft heavier weight cotton twill. The edges are hem stitched finished on all 4 sides. **Classic Kashmir crewel work is always done in chain stitch...which this is. In truth I am not certain if this was a bed cover, table cover or wall hanging. It is quite old and we estimate it to be late 19th to the early 20th century. It has so many possibilities in home decor use **The TRULY EXCEPTIONAL design features exotic and opulent flowers, foliage and birds. The colors are amazing....warm russet oranges and cinnamon tones used to create the tree. Blues, Rosy reds, pink, yellows, spring greens, dark greens olive green and more give great vitality to the work. C O N D I T I O N: SOLD AS FOUND. Presents beautifully.
