Virgin Mary Gilt Polychrome Wood Terracotta Religous Shrine

"Quasi Aurora Consurgens"*- Italian Florentine polychrome terracotta bas-relief of The virgin Mary of oval form and possibly 18th century. The figure posing in extasies in a clouded sky surrounded by winged Puttis. The terracotta medallion is centered in a gilt wood paspartou surrounded by an architectural construction of classic form. Two faux marble columns support a hand painted arquitrave with hand painted and decorated frieze. Latin text is hand painted on the top frieze as well as the bottom with grotesque decorations. Missing one sconce as shown in the photos and minor chips and scuffs througout. Available for immediate purchase but expected delivery time is December 31st.
