This Walnut Musician’s Stool is in Excellent Overall Condition,c.late 19th Century. Venetian in style, with a shell-shaped, revolving seat over three legs ending in lion paw feet. This seat incorporates the purely Venetian aesthetic of “grotto” style furniture; evident in the shell seat and the Empire look, exemplified by the simple lion paw feet, this motif became popular in Italy in the last half of the nineteenth century.
