	Finely Detailed Map of the World encased in a wonderful burled display frame with non-glare glass. circa 1768 By Rev. John Blair and engraved by J.A. Bayly (fl 1755 -1794). Of Copper engraving, original color, from “Chronology and History of the World” published 1768. Handsome world map in two hemispheres, ‘Western, or the New World’, and ‘Eastern, or the Old World.’ The coastlines of the world are fairly well depicted, although Australia and the North west of North America had still to be accurately charted. Title at upper center. Measurements: 1 3/8” deep x 38 1/8” wide x 26 3/4” tall. Condition: good, A tiny hole near Madagascar, and two closed tears on upper edge, not affecting map, some light offsetting. Please view all pictures. serious inquiries are welcome!
