YSL Authentic Vintage Byzantine Antique Gold Pendant Necklace. With a Large Half Moon Shaped pendant accented with Faceted Rubies and Emeralds. The Golden Chain tassels grace the bottom.Designed by ROGER SCEMANA in 1965. Still wears its original paper tag.

 

 

In 1965 this amazing Necklace was designed by ROGER SCEMANA. It still wears its original Paper Tag. The vintage YSL Jewelry has become among the most collectible and coveted in costume jewelry history. All of the pieces walked the runway of the haute couture.

 

Here is an Exotic Byzantine chain with a hook closure in the back 16 1/2" Long The two sides of the chain meet with an immoveable slide of antique gold fitting with 4 prongs. It houses a square faceted Emerald Crystal Stone. The chains continue for another 1 1/2" and are fasted to the ends of the curve of the byzantine Plaque. The Antique gold plaque is rounded on all sides and is decorated with swirls and leaves all over the front. In the center section of the plaque are 3 stones inset in the gold frames. The outside pair are Ruby Red Faceted crystal and come to a point on the top. The center stone is set as a diamond shape and is a perfect faceted pillow cut square of emerald crystal. At the bottom of the rounded moon plaque are 3 evenly placed Matching Golden Chain Tassels. Each extends just over 2 1/2" from the bottom of the plaque.There are two styles of chain used in each tassel. Total length is 30"The important section of the necklace is 6 1/2" Long x 3" wide.
