Rivieres de Babel by Annie Faivre
Hermes Carre 90 Scarf
‘Les Rivières de Babel’ (The Rivers of Babel) shows the tower of Babel where the sons of Noah were trying to build a gate to heaven. Their project was not only flooded, but also suffering from too many languages spoken. A second attempt was finally successful being the symbol for different languages and philosophies coming together successfully. The tower is surrounded by the river, which was one of the pillars for the success of early Mesopotamia. Annie Faivre has drawn this beautiful design, not missing her mischievous monkey.
The scarf has a white background with a contrasting hem in a powder rose, the tower featured in shades of brown and grey while the surrounding swirls symbolizing the river are done in shades of rose and light pink.
